[ Aqua's own telescope has been safely stowed away from the time being (how she manages to fit anything under her odd outfit is truly magic at its finest), and she plans on keeping it there until they're in the clear. It's a miracle it had survived the fall in the first place, and she doesn't dare risk any broken components as they try to exit the place. ]
Unfortunately, no... I'd been flying earlier when my Glider was struck by lightning. [ That probably sounds like mumbo-jumbo to Hide, but she can give him a demonstration later. (She's not a particularly articulate individual when it comes to these things, but he's clever enough to parse through her brief explanations with impressive speed.)
...Clever by accident too, the way he springs the trap door without realizing. ] Are you sure about this...?
[ She could just use more magic to muscle their way down the staircase... But she supposes it'll only get messier the further they go. She slips in after him, and no sooner does she clear the top than the stone door slides back in place with a low groan.
...Silence, save for their breathing which echoes faintly in the hollow darkness. Aqua secures her Wayfinder charm to her hip to cast a bit of light on the two of them, and whispers at Hide, ] Can you see all right?
[ Either way they'll mostly be navigating by the feel of the feeble wooden planks beneath their hands and feet... The passage they're in has clearly been forgotten over time, judging from the state of the ladder and the ignorance of their pursuers.
As they climb down, she can hear the chatter of mice somewhere far below, the scuttle of whatever other unpleasant things as well. Partway through, the path abruptly curves at a strange diagonal, and the ladder ends at closet-sized enclosure that barely fits the two of them.
Holding her breath, Aqua gently nudges at the wall in front of them... Which slowly rotates outward, leading to a dark hallway... ]
