[ Quietly, Alice gauges her reaction. It doesn't surprise her that Saber would react in such a way. When her sister dealt with unwanted suitors (notably Bumby), her reaction was that of anger, most times. It wasn't until towards the end of Lizzie's life that her anger escalated to genuine fear when his actions were more of a threat. ]

As he shouldn't speak on your behalf or any other woman's for that matter.

[ She curbs the rest of what she's heard and noted, remembering her sister's turmoil. It was as if she was listening to Lizzie's worries, all over again. Alice finds herself not being able to break eye contact with Saber. ]

Indeed, he has. It wasn't my intention to upset you, Saber, it was to try and reassure you, you have my apologies. However-

[ Alice draws a tired breath. She can't say she doesn't hope that this isn't the same as her sister and Bumby. She doesn't want to load Saber with her own discomfort with Gilgamesh; she doesn't need it right now. ]

I hope that you never fear putting him in line, in a matter of speaking. It's a shame I can't do it for you, as much as I would like to.
