[Tikki's clearly got more refined tastes. The critical eye doesn't let up much—he's just that kind of guy. But he'll play possum on his suspicions, for now. Wouldn't do to let on too much too soon.]

I think it's a little early to panic.

The bigger problem I'm seeing is that the sudden lack of magical manpower's looking like it'll collapse their entire economy sooner or later. They're already hurting for basics, and people get stupid when they're scared. Some of 'em just get mean instead. A situation like that will get real ugly real fast.
