It's not a hard grip, but it is inexorable. She's had plenty of time to find the perfect balance between overwhelming and unmovable, and exercises that now. If he's going to disappear soon, fine. She has little business with this version of him. But he's not leaving quite yet.

She keeps her gaze turned away for a moment more, collecting herself. There's still a low, simmering anger in it when she finally turns her eyes back toward Jason, but it reads as something much closer to determination than violence. Any lingering tears don't dampen it in the slightest. ]
