[Peridot steps off the train and immediately balks at the sight before her. it seems, at first, as if the sight of the damaged equipment, the carrion birds, and the screaming and yelling of people trying to sort this mess out has affected her deeply, but after a second or two of dumbstruck staring, the truth becomes apparent.]
This is their process? Unbelievable. No wonder the planet is falling apart.
b. magnets!! how do they work??? (the fracking fields)
[after getting over all the offense she's taken at the Qorral way of harvesting minerals, Peridot finally begins to assist, but rather than start small, she's based herself near one of the sinkholes that is staring to swallow a large piece of equipment and is... well, it's not really clear what she's doing exactly.
it just involves her standing on the edge of the sink hole and moving her arms erratically while grunting and making other strange noises. whatever she's doing doesn't seem to be having much of an effect yet, but boy is she keeping at it.
you know... as one does.]
c. exit, pursued by drone (the refinery)
[so you've chosen to investigate the refinery. good on you. it's a nice place rescue people and save valuable materials. good on you for risking life and limb to come here to this walking fire hazard to- wait? what's that sound.
whatever you're currently doing, wherever in the refinery you are, you may hear the shrill screams of a gem in peril. one who believed she could definitely use her metal powers on a functional drone. as such she has ticked off several of them and every time one spots her, she ends up being violently pursued, lasers firing and narrowly missing her as she ducks, rolls, and... tries to seek shelter behind whatever she can find. possibly even behind people who look like they can handle some angry flying dogs. DOGCOPTER DIDN'T PREPARE HER FOR THIS.]
