Then her brain processes what the stranger had said, and then sees the flash of white ( and the blue that disappeared, but she doesn't have time to think about what that could be yet ) whip across her eyes.
The worm gives out a few more half-hearted attempts at catching its murderer, but eventually, it stills. The mines are eerily silent all over again. ] I — [ She glances down at the body that's more or less fallen on top of her ( too bad Lance isn't up to see this oops ), gently shaking his shoulders. ] Are you alright?
[ No response. Her eyebrows furrow, but a quick check for his breathing at puts the worst of her thoughts at bay. She slides out from under his body, careful not to jostle him too badly. Careful maneuvering gets him lying down properly on the floor, but... now she's not sure whether she needs to pick him up and continue moving or stay here until he gets better. ] Er... hm. [ 30 more seconds, she tells herself. If he doesn't wake up in 30 more seconds, she'll pick him up and carry him out himself. ]
