[During the riots, Ranmaru had been fighting far more conservatively. For those who’d seen her, many of her moves were even made with hesitation, as she had no idea who to really direct her energy towards; it was a mess, and one not to be solved with more fighting.
This is different.
This time, the enemy here was clear. Her friends were imprisoned, and she made a promise she would come to save them; the guards who sought to prevent this had been defined, clearly, as her enemy, and so there was no reason not to really put some effort into this. She fights with skill far beyond her years, and her instincts carry her well through the entire ordeal flawlessly; moving in between attacks with almost little effort, she hardly spends even a moment still, ducking, diving and pouncing in every direction, fists flying and legs sweeping to take down guards as they come. Hell, judging from the look on her face? She’s enjoying herself. She only holds back enough not to kill anyone, but aside from that each blow is backed by tremendous force, and she even occasionally takes time to taunt her opponents.]
Oi, oi, c’mon! You ain’t much good at your jobs, huh? They ain’t payin’ you enough or somethin’? You got weapons! Use ‘em! Start sending out your best! Maybe even try coming at me in a group!
[b. she’s here to lend a hand]
[Of course, in the off chance she sees anyone who isn’t focused on fighting being targeted, or perhaps someone who just needs an assist, she’ll gladly step in. If you’re in need of it, don’t be surprised if she practically crashes into the ground amidst your attackers and starts breaking heads. It’s also possible what crashes into your attackers is, in fact, another guard - one unfortunate enough to be used as a makeshift projectile by her in the process. Hell, if you really need it, maybe she’ll even just grab you and move to a safer location.]
[c for cooldown]
[It’s not like she got out of things injury free, it’s just that her pain threshold is way too high for a regular human. If some people are too stupid to get sick, then she’s on a level of too stupid to be hurt; all that’s really noticeable is the extra bandaging aside her usual ones she binds her chest with.
If you ran into her during the action (which can be hand waved if you want a less chaotic meeting), if you’re someone she’s spoken with already or even if you just don’t look too great, she’s likely to stop you for a check in if she sees you in public, or even seek you out herself.
Either way, she seems to be in an even better mood than she usually is. …fact is, she loves fighting. All there is to it.]
