As the infected start to increase in number, and become increasingly aggressive, she questions her ability to keep them at bay without using her powers, and decides that it's not worth letting someone get hurt in order to shelter them. If ALASTAIR wanted them to keep a perfect cover, they shouldn't have sent them on such a dangerous mission.
She doesn't know if the innocents nearby are ALASTAIR or not, but a wave of infected are approaching all of them; Dogberry barks, but it doesn't do much to slow their movements. So instead, a wall of spears, glowing a soft blue, jab up from the ground in front of them, enough to stop them in their tracks, at least for the moment, though they start scrabbling at the spears trying to wedge themselves through the cracks.
Undyne yells over her shoulder, to whoever's still there. ]
You start running, I'll catch up! Dogberry, go with them!
[ Dogberry barks in compliance, and runs back to the other party, looking up at them expectantly. ]
