[ Naruto pauses his attempt to suck any and all moisture from the plastic itself now that all the blue has gone, not intending to waste even a drop, and looks at Shizuo incredulously. ]
Fat?! [ He repeats, remains of the once vibrant freeze pop hanging out of his mouth. ] How's a little piece of this gonna make you fat? I've eaten like four bags and I ain't fat. People are dumb.
[ Yes, Naruto, people are indeed dumb. He takes a handful of the chocolates and trades them for the empty wrapper, popping a few into his mouth to start off with. This issue is the same issue he has with being told that he can't eat cup noodles for the rest of his life, because they're bad for him. He's been eating them for most of his life already and he's turned out fine, so he can't see the problem. It probably helps that he... very rarely stops moving, and compared to other people probably gets more excercise just being himself than anyone else might going to the gym, but.. details.
He looks up at Shizuo then. ]
You're the first old person I've seen who likes candy, though.
[ He says this like it should be a compliment, apparently oblivious to the fact that he probably shouldn't go around calling people old. ]
