And maybe she has, because nothing about her 16th century Japanese upbringing in a world without anything she could call "magic" or modern science could have prepared her for this. For a world of aliens, for stealing diamonds, for a prison in the deep black she'd never had the imagination to look up to from the ground, for a labyrinth with a god forsaken man-bull.
If she can just focus on immediate survival... the madness of it can be kept at bay.
With a thundering clatter of hooves, Hayame comes barreling up to and springs into a desperate jump over the scraps Connor hides behind, nearly braining him with her back feet before she lands heavily, stumbles but recovers, spinning about and pulling up the large wooden bow she carries, already reaching for an arrow.]
