She almost goes down then and there, a flash of disgust overtaking her features, eclipsing for a moment the barely held back fear as she nearly trips over her own hooves in instinctual recoil from the hot purge of liquid dripping down her leg and sticking to her blood and dirt-stained dun coat.
Hayame knows in that moment she should have let this weakling die- conveniently forgetting her own experiences in such matters.
But the Minotaur is almost upon them and she can't scream or yell at him, berate him, dump him from her back, she can only wait, twisting at the human waist to aim her bow as she runs, one eye on the creature and one on the road before her, waiting in horror as it grows closer and closer, as it closes the distance between them and leans forward to grab-
