SUMMARY: Apollo is trying to look after Maya. Things spiral out of control.


[After running around for ten minutes Apollo's legs finally give in. Maya's been riding a wolf down in the flowerlands. How's he supposed to catch up with him? Send help, please. He honestly wonders how Phoenix keeps up with this kid. It's too much. This is simply another ordeal that Apollo must face. He shouts:]

Wait up!! Maya, I want to speak with you!! Slow down for a sec.

[Even though there's some distance between them Apollo's voice can still be heard. Hopefully that got her attention. ]

[The answer is that he doesn't, really. Phoenix is just as exhausted of his assistant as Apollo is, and back home Maya doesn't have a direwolf. Luckily for Apollo, he is extremely loud and so Maya hears him with no problem --- she stops Marshmallow and turn around to backtrack a little]

Mr. Justice! What's up? And why are you so out of breath?

[Because he's been chasing a wolf, that's why]

[Apollo kneels over and takes a couple deep breaths. After five minutes he's ready to talk again.]

Alright, I'm good. I've been chasing you for ten whole minutes!!!! Maya!! Did you not notice?

[She gets down off her wolf to nudge him a little, and Marshmallow sniffs at him to see if he's dying.....]

Geez, you should have said something! [he did say something, Maya!] What the heck were you chasing me around for? Are you stalking me???

[The only thing dead is Apollo's hopes and dreams...oh wait. He still has enough energy to complain, so he's fine.]

I'm not a stalker! I object that claim. You really didn't hear me then.

[Sheesh. Here it comes. Suddenly he's serious. ]

I've put some things into consideration after our last conversation. You trust me now and I should be more honest. Maya, I have the ability to tell when someone's lying to your face.

It works with my bracelet here. This thing is made out of a special alloy that reacts to the slightest tension. Touching it helps me concentrate and then I can pick up on lies and such. Are you going to believe me just like that?
