[That's the truth of it. Veronica knows she can't erase someone else's guilt. It goes without saying that he feels a certain way for a reason. He gets to live, either here or there, while the other girl in his car didn't get to live. It's a really basic, generic scenario, but it can bring about some familiar reactions.
