EVENT ★ WELCOME TO LERAMZEN
WELCOME TO LERAMZEN ![]() After nearly three weeks of "relaxation" in Oska, Audentes is given 48 hours to prepare for their next mission. Right on time, they are rifted to a different dimension, landing them in the futuristic city of Leramzen. Instead of appearing in a large group, recruits are spread throughout the city center so as not to draw attention to themselves, arriving in isolated areas: behind buildings hidden from the street, in public restrooms, stepping into the street from behind parked cars. The key is to blend in, though the metropolitan nature of Leramzen allows for some wiggle room; the locals see enough country bumpkins from all over the galaxy that they're willing to overlook a faux pas here or there from an obvious tourist. Recruits have two weeks before the day of the museum heist. During this time, they should contact their mission analyst, George, but the rest is up to them -- a perfect time to explore the luxuries that Leramzen has to offer. CITY LIFE ![]() The generous stipend will more than allow recruits to take in the sights and treat themselves to a luxury meal or two, but of particular interest should be the clothing and jewelry stores found in the city center. There are shops that cater to any style and taste, including a few bespoke tailors that have a convenient turnaround time of two weeks. In addition to shopping and cultural pursuits, there is an ice rink in the city center, maintained for the long winter season, and horse-drawn carriages that will take passengers on a ride through Leramzen's historic Old Town. This is also a good chance to observe the State History Museum to get a lay of the land before the mission begins. But remember -- don't draw attention to yourselves, so going in all together might not be a good idea. Settle in and take in some sights, and get ready -- because when the mission begins, you never know what you'll be in for. OOC NOTES Welcome to the new mission! Heist sign-ups are now closed for current players, but all characters accepted after May 21st will still have the opportunity to sign up. For more information on the mission, please check the dossier and direct all questions about Leramzen to this thread. Questions about the game in general should be directed to the FAQ and you may submit mission ideas or player plots at any time. |
1!
Ah- [ He murmurs, trying to make his words filter in from his brain to his mouth without blurting out something dumb like the word horse and nothing else. Seriously, he's done and said worse. ] Aaaah- are ya new? Audentes? It's a lot to take in the first time, huh?
no subject
Quite a bit downwards, seeing as she towers at around seven feet high hoof to crown. Some young man, not one she knows personally but one that must be of ALASTAIR, using the word she's come to recognize. "Audentes".]
Who are you?
[Maybe that isn't the polite or expected response to a relatively kind attempt at speaking, but. Her ears are ringing and her eyes are full of things she never even dreamed or conceived of. Manners have escaped her, (they often do).]
no subject
Woah, take it easy, okay? [ He's not as close as he usually would be. He knows horses can kick and she doesn't look like she trusts him, so he's not taking any chances. ] I'm Naruto. I'm the same as you, my world is nothin' like this one, but nothin' out there will hurt ya, y'know.
[ He's not sure if she's scared or angry, or both.. but he understands that not everyone finds these crazy new places they get transported to as amazing as he does. To some people, he's sure, it must be pretty unsettling. ]
no subject
Also kind of offended at the very implication.]
I am not afraid of being injured by a city full of... merchants.
[Rich, plush merchants and nobles by the sound of the dossier and how rich the entire city looked to someone who grew up in an outpost.]
no subject
Okay, look. Comin' here to all this new stuff is pretty crazy, so I just wanted to let ya know you're not alone, okay? We're all in this together. [ Go wildcats. ] Besides, this place is full of stuck up snotty old people who are payin' more attention to what they look like instead of other people. Ain't no-one here gonna be a threat to you.
[ He's trying, bless him. ]
So, uh. I guess you'll be okay by yourself, huh? Like I said, I'm Naruto. Ya can call on me if ya need anything.

Her tail continues to swish irritably, slapping against the walls of the alley she stands in, listening to the words coming out of his mouth and analyzing them in quite a different mindset than he might intend. For all that he says, ("not alone", to someone he'd just met), she gives only a single question in reply.]
To whom do you swear your allegiance?
[ALASTAIR?]
no subject
[ His first instinct is to say Konoha, but she won't probably won't recognise the name anymore than he would the name of the world she's from, probably. He's never really stopped and considered if his allegiance has changed since he's arrived here - his loyalty to the leaf village certainly hasn't wavered but perhaps it's been borrowed, for the time being, by his new employer. ]
To ALASTAIR and to my teammates in Audentes. And to my village back home.
[ Naruto, honey, it was supposed to be a simple one word answer. ]
no subject
The answer brings a small snort that she makes only minimal efforts to conceal, sizing him up from her towering height. He might seem somewhat young to his fellow humans, but to Hayame's culture he would be a grown man, and she evaluates him as such, noting he seemed to at least possess some degree of physical strength to his form, at least.]
ALASTAIR has done something to earn this loyalty of yours?
[Perhaps spoken as a true newcomer, she cannot see why anyone of strong principles would swear their allegiance to that group.]
sorry for the delay!
Gave me a place to stay an' fed me, I guess. And ALASTAIR made it possible for me to meet all the friends I've made here.
[ She reminds him of Sasuke with that cynical way of thinking, that kind of harsh distrust, and he knows he probably won't get through to her with his point of view but he at the very least wants her to understand what kind of person he is. ]
Look, I get it. I arrived here and got stuck an' had to deal with it just like you. ALASTAIR hasn't done anythin' to deserve my service yet, but they haven't done anythin' to not deserve it either. I don't know one way or the other, so for the time bein' I'm just trustin' my own judgement and helpin' out people who seem like they need it.
[ He sticks his hands in his pockets, shrugs and gives her a plain, honest look. ]
Are ya not gonna help ALASTAIR out, then?
np! and sorry shes so rudefnkwlfne
[Though she'd thought to restrain herself, she cannot censor that comment, staring down at him after his somewhat impassioned speech for ALASTAIR's sake. Gave him room and board, as if it were some charity and they were not involved at all in what had plucked them from their worlds in the first place?
It only makes her gaze grow colder, and she moves forward slightly, one front hoof striking the pavement a few times in an impatient stomp that probably signals she wants him to back up so she can more easily leave the alley she's arrived in.]
My own lord has commanded I lend my assistance, so rest assured you will have what little I deign necessary. But I am no rat come in the night to steal like a common thief.
it's fine! she's wonderful, i love her....
I ain't cheap. [ He's definitely common, has been a thief in the past, so he can't really speak for that part, but his loyalty definitely isn't cheap... it's just.. very large. The loyalty he has for Konoha is different, that will never be altered or weakened, but there are threads of loyalty he'll pass out to those who deserve it when it's needed and he can't see why that should make her look at him like he's dirt. He actually scowls, just a little. ] If someone needs my help an' it seems like the right thing to do then I'm gonna do it. Cos if I didn't I'd just be frownin' and grumpy and alone. There's no reason not to trust people until they give ya a reason not to.
[ Luckily he moves aside anyway after he's said that, so hopefully he won't get a kick in the face. ]
Do whatever ya want, y'know. See ya around.
bless u
But she doesn't care enough to argue morality with a stranger, in a world that isn't her own, in a group she wants no part of.
She doesn't even say a word, trotting out from the alley the moment he moves aside, with only a brief flick of her hand that could be taken for a farewell.
Trust- how naive.]
