EVENT ★ WELCOME TO LERAMZEN
WELCOME TO LERAMZEN ![]() After nearly three weeks of "relaxation" in Oska, Audentes is given 48 hours to prepare for their next mission. Right on time, they are rifted to a different dimension, landing them in the futuristic city of Leramzen. Instead of appearing in a large group, recruits are spread throughout the city center so as not to draw attention to themselves, arriving in isolated areas: behind buildings hidden from the street, in public restrooms, stepping into the street from behind parked cars. The key is to blend in, though the metropolitan nature of Leramzen allows for some wiggle room; the locals see enough country bumpkins from all over the galaxy that they're willing to overlook a faux pas here or there from an obvious tourist. Recruits have two weeks before the day of the museum heist. During this time, they should contact their mission analyst, George, but the rest is up to them -- a perfect time to explore the luxuries that Leramzen has to offer. CITY LIFE ![]() The generous stipend will more than allow recruits to take in the sights and treat themselves to a luxury meal or two, but of particular interest should be the clothing and jewelry stores found in the city center. There are shops that cater to any style and taste, including a few bespoke tailors that have a convenient turnaround time of two weeks. In addition to shopping and cultural pursuits, there is an ice rink in the city center, maintained for the long winter season, and horse-drawn carriages that will take passengers on a ride through Leramzen's historic Old Town. This is also a good chance to observe the State History Museum to get a lay of the land before the mission begins. But remember -- don't draw attention to yourselves, so going in all together might not be a good idea. Settle in and take in some sights, and get ready -- because when the mission begins, you never know what you'll be in for. OOC NOTES Welcome to the new mission! Heist sign-ups are now closed for current players, but all characters accepted after May 21st will still have the opportunity to sign up. For more information on the mission, please check the dossier and direct all questions about Leramzen to this thread. Questions about the game in general should be directed to the FAQ and you may submit mission ideas or player plots at any time. |
shopping b
One of the reasons is that he happens to be a very handsome man. He might not be interested overly, but the little witch actually gives him a proper(ly lecherous) sizing over, one hand going to a cheek to try and disguise her reaction as unbiased.]
Green, of course.
[Says the Green Witch.
Admittedly, a Green Witch out shopping. Not doing science, or any of the numerous other projects she always seemed to have lined up.
Maybe she was hit in the head?]

Green, ( he almost laughs, remembering her moniker and her general preference in her clothing. ) I should expect that, coming from you.
( he doesn't disagree with her in this instance, though. ) Vest, or jacket, you think? ( his normal taste would be both, because Graham is ridiculous. he's just not sure of the particulars of fashion on Leramzem, he's never actually bothered to cater to fashion anywhere before, so he's not handy at recognizing when he's missing the mark. )
no subject
[The Green Witch ought recommend the color green, now, shouldn't she? Besides, even speaking without bias Sieglinde considers he looks handsome in it. And that was the point at the moment, was it not? They all needed to look fetching for the... "heist".
As for the next question...]
Would you not do both for such a formal event?
[Anyone else he asked might say one or the other, but with as rigid as Sieglinde's own upbringing had been when it came to dress, she certainly cannot imagine doing anything less for a gala sort of event.]
no subject
hence the need for back-up on this shopping trip. Graham had a vague idea of what a man in the early 20th century might wear, but that was based on movies and television, not exactly the most reliable source. )
I'll give both a try, ( he decides, before glancing at Sieglinde herself. ) Have you any plans for what you'll wear? ( if she wanted to look for herself, it seemed only fitting. two birds, one stone. )
no subject
[Trust Sieglinde to act as if trying on clothes in a department store dressing room was a formulaic science with control groups...
At the question, though, her expression turns thoughtful, absently tugging on one of the long strands of dark hair she leaves hanging free by her face.]
Hmm... I had been thinking a classic gown, but this place does have a variety of styles I have never laid eyes upon. There's no accounting for what symbolism they might potentially convey, though, and one must be careful in new territories.

I don't think I will ever understand pinning such importance to clothing. ( he'd had like two outfits back in the day, and neither of them styled to be anything but functional, so, this is a pretty believable comment from Graham. ) It is important not to draw too much attention, though, you're right. We may have to ask after all.
no subject
[She isn't sure about commission, but surely the reputation of the store itself would be best served by such a thing? Well, technically she had little knowledge on that front, so she'll let it go.
Besides. He would surely see reason!]
Precisely. You go ask about your ensemble, and I shall select one of my own.

it doesn't take him long to appear again, still working his fingers at the tie to save time. he's trailed by someone he's flagged down for her expert opinion, and the girl seems to be flushed as red as the slinky dress she's wearing. )
Well? ( he inquires, eyebrows raised. )
It's perfect, ( the girl says immediately, which somehow doesn't seem as unbiased as he might like, so he waits for Sieglinde's thoughts instead. )
no subject
Maybe not as useful as she thought, then. By the time Graham reappears she has selected two dresses, overflowing awkwardly from her small arms, but that's not enough to stop her from peaking over the velvet and silk to fix the staff with a raised brow look.
(Honestly, Graham was incredibly handsome, but she was at work!)]
Madam, no one is perfect. Now, if you will please supply a more helpful analysis...
[She'll whip this entire store into shape if she has to! Whatever it takes to get Graham well prepared with a dashing suit for the gala.]
🎀
I... well. Perhaps... That jacket is a bit large. Let me fetch you another one... and surely a more modern cut will be better, don't you think?
( Graham has no idea, but the girl runs off to do just as she'd suggested anyway. ) I hope this works, ( the huntsman muses both to Sieglinde and himself before nodding towards the velvet. ) I like that one. ( and not just because it's gr— ok, no. it's because it's green.
it's clearly for the best he took Sieglinde along with him. before the visit is over, he'll have his things prepared for this heist, and so will she. as usual, they do seem to make a good team. )
