• BEFORE THE FIGHT •

[Now that Oska has been "fixed"… it's about time to mess it up again. At least in a contained way that doesn't involve any "false realities." Two large, pilot-able robots stand opposite each other in a large ring, circled off with linked rope and poles.

One robot is a bright green color, diamond shaped with claw-like hands, and shorter than the other robot. The second robot is tall, smoother looking, with longer "legs" and pastel colored.

Both are unoccupied… for now, but outside of the ring is a crudely, and almost lazily painted sign with the words: ]

Maybe someone else is nearby who can answer some questions… Or maybe also has no idea what's about to happen, but hey, feel free to look around anyway. ]

• THE FIGHT •

[A. - Closed to Peridot and Pearl]

[~~Now that the tickets have been sold~~, both Gems arrive at the arena.

After inspecting the area marked for their fight, and then inspecting her own robot to make sure Pearl hadn't tried to CHEAT while she was away, Peridot climbs into her own robot, testing the controls. It works just as well as it did when she first assembled it, so everything seems fine. As Pearl climbs into her own robot, Peridot calls out a taunt.]

I HOPE YOU'RE READY TO PRACTICE BOWING AGAIN, RENEGADE SCUM!!

[B. - Open To All]

[Oh, so that's why those giant robots were there. An old fashioned showdown, This Town Isn't Big Enough For The Both Of Us-style... But no guns and quick drawing, and with robots instead? Seems like it. Feel free to watch, and maybe wind up dodging some torn up dirt as the fight processes.]

[ In one swift movement, she lifts him onto her shoulders, and turns back to the action, holding onto his ankles. ]

Where'd they get the robots, anyway?? Did they say? I don't remember there before robots before.

Whoops! [He smiles contently as he's plopped onto her shoulders, but then he raises a confused eyebrow at her question.]

...You know what? I have no idea! But Peridot does build a lot of robotic stuff, so maybe that's got to do with it!

Huh... [ She pauses to consider that for a moment. ] Hey! You think I could get a giant robot somewhere?! We could have a giant robot tournament!

[ Because wow that would be pretty impressive. Of all the people who don't need a giant robot, Undyne is in the top 5, but she's just so eager, like a human child at the prospect of getting a pet dinosaur. ]

[Now there's stars in her eyes.]

That would be so cool as long as no one gets hurt! Hey, you never know! Sometimes you can find giant robots hidden in secret caves, or the bottoms of lakes!

Hey, you're right! Maybe there's one at the bottom of the lake! Wanna go find out later? [ Wait. ] ...you can swim, right?

[ He's half not-human after all, so she has some hope. Maybe he can half swim? ]

[He nods.]

I can swim alright! And I even make a bubble to stay in! I... just can't hold my breath for too long! [he admits this basic limitation of human beings sheepishly.]

Then let's go find us a giant robot! [ And, as a second thought, she adds, ] And then we'll find some giant robot helmets!

[ Probably not what he meant by no one getting hurt, but she's making an attempt. ]

[Close enough. He does approve of helmets at least. And he raises his arms in a cheer.]

Safety first!!

Let's do it!

[ In her excitement, she nearly drops him by mimicking his gesture and letting go of his legs in the process, but manages to catch him just as quickly. ]

--Safety first! Celebrate after the robot battle!

[ Which, as it stands, is getting more interesting, as she turns her attention back to watching. She'll just have to remember to cheer with her voice and not her hands until it's over... ]
