OPEN
CHARACTERS: Steven Universe and YOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
DATE: Anytime between the end of the Oska simulation and the beginning of the training exercises
WARNINGS: High fluff content, most likely
SUMMARY: Steven's making use of his downtime through tomfoolery (and homesickness).
A. Around the Castle
[Most people are probably familiar with the suits of armor that provide directions, right? Well, Steven has been making use of them. But in a very specific way... he's riding on the shoulders of one suit of armor as it guides him to his destination. Just as it's about to reach the training center, Steven pipes up.]
Oh, did I say the training center? I actually wanted to go to... um... the dining hall! [He puts on a sheepish smile and acts in a tone that can only be convincing to a suit of armor.] Where's... that again?
[The armor then silently shifts direction and starts its journey all the way to the dining hall. Steven, still riding atop the armor, giggles mischievously.]
B. Library
[Steven does eventually make his way to the library. He's keen to see if any books from home are here, and to try to find new books to try reading.
But first? He's mesmerized by the shiny crystal that he's provided. Watch him wave the crystal around and make little sound effects.]
C. Room of Reflection
[At some point in the evening, Steven has set himself up facing one of the walls of mirrors in the viewing room. He has a little blanket and some snacks with him as he looks into the mirrors as if watching a tv show. He'll stay there so late that he'll fall asleep if he has to. Because he wants to be there whenever he can get a glimpse, however brief, of home...]
D. Wild Card
[Run into him anywhere around Oska's grounds, with or without his ukulele!]

A!
as it is, he notes the boy having a go with the very helpful animated guards, and raises his eyebrows as they pass. )
Is that right?
( his tone states he doesn't quite buy it, but Graham can't really hold it against you, Steven. it looks like it would be pretty fun for someone your age. fun, what is that, even. )

This guy - he's doing a great job of showing me around! Really!

( graham can't be that mad at the kid taking advantage of the suit of armor. he's pretty sure there's not a quietly frustrated man inside of it... pretty sure anyway... )
Have you had problems getting lost when you travel on your own?
