Ice cream and just small talk
CHARACTERS: Sorey, Mikleo (circulets) & Alisha (1300yen)
DATE: Prior to/early on with the power loss event, early April or late March at the most backdated.
WARNINGS: idk, nerd trio warning?
SUMMARY: Just some friends, getting some much needed catch up and quality time together. As they've needed for a good while now.
[Really, after circumstances separating them so much back home, it's no wonder that Sorey is trying to make the most of seeing Alisha again. Not that he doesn't appreciate having his seraphim friends here too, the three that are present, but there is certainly something to be said for having the first human he met here too. His first friend outside of the seraphim at Elysia, who if anything, were more like a larger extended family of sorts to the Shepherd. He intends to make the most of it, and, well, Mikleo himself is never far behind Sorey if he isn't right there all but attached at the hip to his best friend. Which he is, at the best of times, let alone with the situation here as they arrive and start to figure things out for this next mission of theirs.
On these Islands. The beach. Sorey's never actually been, so there's probably next to no surprise that he's curious and determined to enjoy the beaches. The sand, the sun. The waves. He would probably sit there for hours, all day if they let him, watching the waves crash at the shore, listening to it, watching the sun set change the colour of the large body of water. He thinks it's pretty amazing.
Of course, if he does head out actually into the water, it isn't that he goes too far, well aware of his non-existent swimming ability. Even if he might be picking up some lessons since the abrupt arrival and storm. But that doesn't stop him rolling up his pants, or foresaking them entirely for some manner of swimwear and running out into the crashing waves, laughing as he enjoys the cool water. Though not for long before he's back to the shore, attempting to shake most of the water from his hair before he sits down.]
This isn't so bad. The water's really nice, with this heat! Don't you think? I'm starving!
[Of course he is. Even if he didn't go out too far, the waves still take a lot more out of him than he anticipates as he tries to cool off and enjoy the deeper water than the pond back at Elysia.]

She laughs lightly as Sorey comes back from the water. It seems like he'd spend all day just wading around if he could.]
What did you want to eat? I'm sure we could find something back at the village.

[ Mikleo can't help but tease Sorey. However, he's not opposed to the idea of getting food, either. If Sorey and Alisha were hungry, they could eat. Exploring these islands wasn't going anywhere. In fact, they could go right back to doing just this when they were done eating.
Or... ]

[But of course, by now he's used to the teasing. And he isn't even all that bothered as Alisha laughs when he does resurface from the water. Sorey turns to Mikleo to give a light jab at his side before his expression all but lightens at the idea of snacks. Snacks from Mikleo, even. Which has, out of necessitated habit from his hours spent poring over books or out exploring, been rather a major part of his diet as a result of him otherwise likely not having eaten at all from being so distracted.]
What sort of snack? Ice cream'd be great right about now.....

[It'd be one thing if he wanted just a snack, but how much ice cream would they be having if he's that hungry...]

[ He doesn't mind, but... He'd prefer to make something the both of them will like. If they're hungry now, it'd be best to eat something now so they can keep up their strength. They're pretty far out at this point. ]

[It would be enough, for now. If he's really still hungry after that he can figure something else once they get home perhaps. Sorey just wants something easy and quick for the time being anyway. The ice cream would probably sate his immediate hunger and restore at least some of his energy from 'swimming'.]
What did you want, Alisha? Did you want some too, or something else? Just a little something for now until we get back to the inn and figure something proper later.

[Oh. Look at that hopeful and expectant face he's giving the water seraph now. That might seem almost unfair if he was actually trying to do this on purpose and take advantage of his best friend. But he isn't really.]

ty for weird game mechanics. The ice cream appears near instantly in two small bowls, Mikleo handing them to Alisha and Sorey both. Of course, he does enjoy making sweets, so it isn't as though Mikleo's ever felt as though he's being taken advantage of. ]no subject

[Sorey would of course, still say that even if he had only tried Mikleo's and no other ice cream at all. It's just the ice cream he is the most used to and nostalgic for. But really, any ice cream is appreciated in this weather! He eagerly takes the bowl and savors that first mouthful.]

[Though more often, if Mikleo gives him ice cream when he's in the middle of trying to read or something, it's usually the case that it might melt over time as he slowly gets through it between pages. He has learned over the years to try savor it rather than devouring the whole thing at once.]
