THE CASTLE ( NOV 7 )
Our resident warrior princess, Kidagakash Nedakh, has formulated a plan to investigate the castle and speak with the royals. (The OOC plotting post can be found here.) Now, it's time to put it into action.
The castle itself is huge. From the outside, you can see a beautiful garden, a pond, and a statue commemorating Odette. You can also see several guards, some more invested in their job than others. A few are stony-faced, menacing men with looks that could kill. A couple just look like they'd appreciate a pretty girl or interesting guy to liven up their boring day.
On the inside, all the halls look different, yet the same — different pieces of art, different wall fixtures, but everything else is identical. There's many portraits of the king and his late wife on the walls, sparkling chandeliers, and servants scurrying around. Odette's pale, smiling face and cascading blonde locks look somewhat familiar, but that might just be because of all the statues of her likeness around the city.
The castle has pretty much every room you'd expect a castle to have. A library, a wine cellar, a dining hall, etc. Within them, characters can expect to find various things of interest — there are many books, fancy stationery, even some valuable coins if you look hard enough. There's also many letters to be found detailing the situation in Chantes; of course, there's also plenty of letters on far less official business. Some of them have quite steamy imagery.
There are plenty of servants milling about inside the castle and out in the gardens. In the dining hall and their chambers are several of Chantes' most important nobles. And then, of course, there's you. |

Well, that's a fine distraction, she'll give him that. She has no real idea what sort of song that is and what he's doing. That, and, he already looks ridiculous, so Alice turns away for a moment, wondering if it's worth it or not to speak to him.
Maybe if she pretends she doesn't know him. Actually, she thinks she will, continuing on her way with her head low.
She don't know you. ]
no subject
Yes, you most certainly know him, and this is punishment for that.]
Alice! Alice, come here! You'll do excellently on back-up! I need a fair maiden for female vocals!
[Is fair maiden an upgrade or downgrade? It's hard to say.]
no subject
Are you joking?
[ Alice's voice starts to rise. What does he mean by "fair maiden"? ]
No!
no subject
I'd never jest about this! We can put your true talents on display! It's a great opportunity!
[Gilgamesh seems entirely unaware that Alice may not appreciate the spotlight... it looks like there's no escaping A+ Charisma, either.]

[ Her already low self-esteem can only take so much. The applause and cheering sends Alice in a deep crimson. Flustered, Alice scoops up a stick and hurls it at him. If it hits him? Good. ]

L is for the way you look at me~♪
[...this just became ten times worse.]
O is for the only one I see~♪
[Worse than that, even. Alice, you're now being serenaded.]

[ Unfortunately, Alice has no idea what he's singing and it starts to go over her head. This is a distraction for sure, for how Alice is slowly getting worked up. ]
no subject
V is very, very extraordinary, E is even more than anyone that you adore and...
[Wait, what's that spell? L-O-V... uh-oh. Suddenly it's become obvious just what he's doing here and it's even worse than anticipated. Poor Alice, indeed.]
no subject
Until now. Until someone makes the passing comment how red she is.
Suddenly, Alice is trying to flee the scene. ]
It isn't a funny joke!
[ Is her only response before she, the smallest of people around her, starts to actually muster up the strength and start shoving people aside, as if she's parting the red sea.
She won't get that very far, if he were to make the motion to stop her. Though, it won't end well. ]
no subject
Naturally, this won't end well at all.]
Oh, come! Don't go running off in the middle of my chorus!
[And so Gilgamesh makes a terrible mistake: he grabs for her hand without thinking, forgetting that constant aura of don't touch me.]
no subject
It's not funny!
[ To her, it was a joke and it didn't help that his comment earlier that she intrigued him made her more uncomfortable than she cared to admit. Had it been from someone else, Alice would have blew them off. It's not a good idea to grab her arm; Alice, who has suffered plenty of hardships, reacts too violently with even the smallest touch.
It's the principle of it, and Alice doesn't really hesitate to wheel around with her free hand and smack him. ]
Let go of me!
