PLAYER PLOT ★ STORM THE CASTLE

THE CASTLE ( NOV 7 )

Our resident warrior princess, Kidagakash Nedakh, has formulated a plan to investigate the castle and speak with the royals. (The OOC plotting post can be found here.) Now, it's time to put it into action.

The castle itself is huge. From the outside, you can see a beautiful garden, a pond, and a statue commemorating Odette. You can also see several guards, some more invested in their job than others. A few are stony-faced, menacing men with looks that could kill. A couple just look like they'd appreciate a pretty girl or interesting guy to liven up their boring day.

On the inside, all the halls look different, yet the same — different pieces of art, different wall fixtures, but everything else is identical. There's many portraits of the king and his late wife on the walls, sparkling chandeliers, and servants scurrying around. Odette's pale, smiling face and cascading blonde locks look somewhat familiar, but that might just be because of all the statues of her likeness around the city.

The castle has pretty much every room you'd expect a castle to have. A library, a wine cellar, a dining hall, etc. Within them, characters can expect to find various things of interest — there are many books, fancy stationery, even some valuable coins if you look hard enough. There's also many letters to be found detailing the situation in Chantes; of course, there's also plenty of letters on far less official business. Some of them have quite steamy imagery.

There are plenty of servants milling about inside the castle and out in the gardens. In the dining hall and their chambers are several of Chantes' most important nobles. And then, of course, there's you.

Problem is--everybody's bitchin' about makin' a difference.

[He wasn't storming off, per se. Ban decided to do something and realized it would hog a lot of his time if he stuck around for some sad excuse for diplomacy.]

I'm bored.

People have grown tired of not having answers, and they'll do whatever they can to get them.

[ She didn't agree with the plan, but she understood the sentiment. She wasn't about to stop him from doing what he was doing. It wasn't much of a surprise to her; why stop a thief like him, the kind that obviously won't take a mortal blow is kind of moot. ]

We really ought to stop having these awkward exchanges.

[ Before she blows up on him, again. ]

They ain't tryin' to get ALASTAIR's attention--that's the problem.

[He wasn't sure how much the King knew, but he knew that ALASTAIR was giving them commands. If they weren't talking, it was because they didn't want anything done. While Ban hated silence, himself, it was just the same that he knew that when he was given orders by the ones in charge--he'd consider obeying if he was in the mood.

ALASTAIR hadn't talked to them in awhile. That was fine by him.]

Anyway, the hell're you talkin' about--awkward?
digophelia: (i'm sorry i never knew what else to do)

We have yet to see ALASTAIR, as well. It may not seem like the appropriate steps, but I wouldn't say it wouldn't get their attention. We are supposed to aid the worlds we are sent to, aren't we?

[ The more she thought about it, the more she had high hopes that it would uncover the the situation behind goblins and humans, perhaps something more to help the orphans, too.

Alice gestures at him. ]

I think you know what I mean.

You ain't gonna aid the world by lettin' the enemies of its main residents haze a village to the ground--none the less the world, idiot.

[The prophecy that the dragons would end the world--Ban believed it. Tyrant dragons were savage, unforgiving monsters.

They could easily destroy more lands if allowed.]

Anyway--I think yer' assumin' something I don't know.

You're no better.

[ She gestures at him, of course, expecting the next time she sees him, he'll be running out with the stereotypical chest of gold. ]

You're in no position to criticize them; whatever you're doing isn't helping. As usual.

Kah kah kah! Ain't that right, brat?!

[Nailed it. Alice didn't disappoint, after all. There were few people who took a look at him and so neutrally made their judgments. She saw his actions and decided they were bad rather than just seeing him and making that decision.

It was why he didn't argue the point any further.]

Course, I've gotta run. Any longer and my bag'll suffer sword swings and all that.

[ Whatever he did, Alice wasn't going to stop him. There's no way that she could and that made her unwillingly complacent with a thief. Brushing her hair off her shoulders, Alice turned away. ]

Yes, we cannot have that, can we?

[ Deeply sarcastic, as usual, Alice started to saunter off and rejoin the others. ]
