To the soldier, the civilian, the martyr, the victim,

CHARACTERS: Archer ([personal profile] anti_altruisms) & YOU!
DATE: May 2nd, onward...
WARNINGS: Checking out dead bodies...? Other stuff, maybe.
SUMMARY: Having been separated from most of the people he knows, including his Master, Archer takes the time to explore Pu'ulai!

I. Left Behind

[ Of all the things that might have happened, Archer can certainly think of outcomes he might have preferred. The storm was harrowing, and upon discovering Rin to be missing, he cursed himself and the elements equally for allowing the separation. His only comfort is the subtle feeling, however faint, that she lives. Their bond has weakened substantially, as has his own power, but still, at least it is there.

Uncharacteristically bedraggled, Archer nevertheless does the best he can to manage in a rather poor situation. He gathers up what possessions they have here, and while he is less than pleased about it, Archer ushers Rin's lion and swan into safer, dryer territory. The egg ALASTAIR gave him rests in a pouch around his waist.

Anyone exploring may find him tending to his menagerie and feeding them whatever scraps he's managed to find. ]

II. Nalanni's Guarden

[ If there's anything he's been curious about, it's the relationship between the Nalawi and Nalanni. Without any other direction or the means to locate his Master, Archer decides to take a brief break from pet-care to pay the Temple a visit.

He takes his time wandering through the halls, his fingers lightly brushing the obsidian walls. The flowers are beautiful too, but even so, a heaviness hangs in the air.

It's the murals, though, that Archer stares at the longest. He studies it for a long while before asking for an explanation. The answer he receives from a priest is brief but good enough. ]

III. Red Sea

[ It's says more about him than anything else, perhaps, that he isn't really disturbed by the sight and smell of rotting flesh.

A white lion cub trails quietly behind him as Archer explores the desolate scene. Though he is far from educated in the particulars of Nalawi rituals or magic, a closer examination of the bodies reveals the very purposeful nature of their deaths.

His expression cold and unfeeling, Archer waves Rin's cub away from one of the more repugnant carcasses. He's sure Rin wouldn't appreciate it if he allowed Pfeil to eat anything half-decayed. ]

Come.

[ He gestures for the cub to follow. It's time to go fishing. ]
