SUMMARY: lapis, nami, and olivia try to earn some extra $$$ by doing what they do best. chaos ensues.

Whether you've come to the Desert Flower Saloon this evening for boarding or for entertainment, you'll find the first floor practically vibrating with activity and life. On this night, unlike any other before (or so Miz Poppy will proclaim), the saloon's main stage will feature not one, not two, but three new performers, fresh (a week or so old is still fresh, right?) from the far corners of the universe to delight and excite the saloon's loyal patrons with the song and dance and magic of their alien people.

[ It would be easy, to look at Nami standing next to Olivia and see nothing but juxtaposition, orange against pink, nerves against brimming confidence; there are no cracks, no hesitancy, nothing but bright golden eyes reflecting utter certainty of the skills of all three of them.

Gosh, Olivia, no one is going to fall flat on anyone's face today...!! ]

Of course it's a good idea! You're the professional dancer, aren't you? Nothing could be more up your alley than this! Right, Lapis? [ Turning to the third member of their little group, she smiles encouragingly, please join her on convincing Olivia instead of sharing that same stage-fright... ] We're going to do great!

[ ... and get all that money, she doesn't say, because for once, this evening is only half about the money for her. ]

[In contrast to Nami's confidence and Olivia's panic, Lapis is just as calm and relaxed as usual - almost as if performing like they're about to is second nature to her. Even as she watches Olivia fret with something that seems like a faint mix of concern and reassurance.

There's gonna be no falling on faces today!]

Right. [The encouraging smile is returned, and she turns her eyes over to Olivia. Secretly glad that Nami is so confident, hoping that'll ease Olivia's worries.]

This is for sure a good idea, and you, Nami and I are gonna wow the audience.

[ olivia attempts to mirror the reassuring smiles the other women grant her, but it comes out looking more like a grimace than anything else. ]

I-I don't know... It feels like I haven't performed in ages...

[ at least around five months now. ]

Your skills haven't gone anywhere! It's like... hm, like swimming! You don't forget it, unless you eat a Devil's Fruit... but I don't think there's any fruit that takes away your dancing skill, Olivia-chan, so you're fine!

[Devil's Fruit? Well, she can ask about that later or something. Instead she just nods in agreement with Nami, leaning back to rest against the table behind her.]

It'll all come back to you once you're on stage. It will probably feel like you haven't had any breaks in performing at all.

I guess you guys are right... I'm sorry, I don't mean to bring the mood down — I just have horrible stage fright.

[ indeed, that little tidbit of information, if not entirely surprising given Olivia's.... everything, is enough to make Nami tilt her head in confusion as she blinks at her friend. ]

Eh...? But aren't you a performer by trade? I thought stage fright is something you get over with time.

[ ?? hard to say as she's never experienced it herself. however, being supportive is something she knows how to do all too well. ] But don't worry! You won't be there alone, both Lapis and I will be there to make sure everything goes smoothly!

[Lapis blinks at Olivia as well - though considering how generally jittery Olivia seems to be, the news of her having stage fright isn't too surprising.]

I guess sometimes you never get over it completely... [Not that Lapis really knows how it feels either, so she just focuses on being supportive as well.]

But Nami is right. Nothing is gonna go wrong, since we'll be up there with you on stage.

[ finally, olivia is able to give a truly genuine smile. stepping closer, she reaches out and grasps a hand from either woman, giving them a little squeeze. ]
