CHARACTERS: Riza and friends! ("""friends""")
DATE: Post-Ghost town log
WARNINGS: Talk of death?? Probably some throwing up too, we’ll see.
SUMMARY: Riza died and that was fun but now she has to talk about it and that’s less fun. A bunch of starters in the comments, give me a holler if you'd like something.

So she looks up from her drink, gaze frank.]
I died. One of our teammates brought me back to life.
[Short, sweet, and definitely really not normal. Also, probably sounds like the punchline to a really bad joke.]

[It's something, but she already said that. Still, it remains something. Death is a very real thing for her, but she's seen people come back from it too many times to question what Riza is saying. Then again, there is probably a difference between apparent death/return and actual for real death/return; she assumes Riza means the latter and purses her lips.]
How are you... feeling? About that?

[It's not really a question, more a quick set of words to dislodge some of the discomfort from inside her chest, and an attempt at forced levity to cut through some of the tension in the air. Bad enough her thoughts are a scattered mess; there's no point bringing someone else into things if she can't properly articulate herself.]
It's—difficult. [Her shoulders sag a fraction.] This sort of thing doesn't happen where I'm from. Shouldn't happen.
I'm still waiting for everything to go wrong.
[For her heart to suddenly give out, for someone else on the team to drop dead in her place.]

Why do you think it's going to? [She shifts a little, turning to face Riza more, peering at her closely.] What I mean is... we're all from different places. It doesn't happen where you're from, but -- it could be normal for someone else. Like the recruit who saved you. [She shrugs, tucking her bangs back.] If they aren't worried about it, maybe you shouldn't be, either.
