(closed) the case of mc lilith vs the police department
CHARACTERS: Lilith and Anakin; Lilith, Reika, Vaughn, and Maya
DATE: During/shortly after the hospital investigation.
WARNINGS: Poor life choices.
SUMMARY: Lilith narrowly avoids getting arrested. And... then actually gets arrested, with a friend. Oops.
[Even Lilith's not stupid enough to think she'll be any good at stealth in a sensitive situation like this. There's too much at stake, here: now that the deeply risky situation has sort of sunk in, she's. Well. She's not invested enough to care quite as deeply as the more noble of her teammates do, but she's going to actually do something here. If only to make sure she, and the small handful of people she's taken a shine to, can get out alive.
Aaaand so that she can help the death elves torture the shit out of the asshole who did this, but... details.
After she and Twisted Fate's group come up blank, though, she's beginning to think that one distraction hadn't been enough. So, with all of the members of her team with their hands full infiltrating the hospital, she's turning her attention back to... attracting as much attention as possible to continue diverting security away from the others.

And, having reached that, and still needing to remain within hospital grounds? She's making a break for it. She vaults over gurneys and the nurse's desk, pulling tight corners, losing the staff who're chasing in half-hearted pursuit... At last, her luck runs out. She crashes headlong into a cop.
Punching the cop and continuing to run is probably (probably?) a terrible idea, if she wants to keep the heat within bounds of "distraction" and "getting her ass tossed in jail". Lilith straightens up, eyes wide and breath short, to address him.]
H-hey! Hey, officer! You're never gonna believe the story I've got but it's real important that I-- oh, shit, they're already here. Erm.
[Slowly, Lilith turns around; she backs up, using Anakin as cover.]
