[ the room is small, but both Ahad and Loki have accustomed themselves to it. neither of them had a strict sleeping pattern (Ahad moreso than Loki), so it was easy to synchronize the need for space depending on who needed what when. Loki called it a place to hold their belongings, all with a wistful, knowing smile; those things weren't exactly theirs. they would all disappear once they left, and he treated it as such.

returning from the maze was a long, tiresome process. while Ahad was able to keep himself clean with his divine abilities, Loki grumbled before bathing himself two, or three times before he felt satisfied with his level of cleanliness (a run in with a dung beetle had left him foul smelling and grumpy). his boots, jacket and armor all needed a good scrub down, and while Loki didn't entirely mind, he felt all the need to be vocal about all the ways that he did.

while the two of them never felt claustrophobic, Dany had her own quarters due to her queenly privacy (also Loki's words), but they found that she was there much more often than not. when Dany wanders in this time, Loki is tending to his nails, giving them another coat of black while his jacket hangs in the window. it's newly scrubbed and smelling of soft leather, the shoulders square and majestic even when it's not on him. their things are neat but haphazard, the only thing out of the drawer is the keg of mead, which doesn't seem to fit much of anywhere.

his diadem is pushing back his hair, keeping it from his eyes. he's not wearing anything Asgardian, just balancing the little bottle of nail polish on his ankle as he wields the brush over a toenail. ]

Are you sure you don't want a coat? It's a small brush, but I'm skillful.

[ Ahad could have kept others clean during their trip into and later out of the maze, but it was a drain on his energy that he would rather avoid. Not a large one, but who knew when power would be needed? Ahad did not trust the maze at all and had come to trust Oska (and ALASTAIR) less and less. It seemed better to preserve power, even when Loki and his clothing were left smelling foul.

That is was occasionally amusing had very little to do with it.

When Dany arrives Ahad is pouring himself another glass of wine. The scene likely has an strangely domestic feel to it, with the clothes hanging to dry and both Loki and Ahad in typical form. ]
