It's pretty obvious that Keith's opinion of her has plummeted. She doesn't blame him for that, exactly. But it stings all the same and she thinks she deserves better.

That's a new an exciting development for Rey: thinking she deserves better.

Anyway, despite her discomfort with the offer for telepathy, the truth is that … she's been able to read his feelings the whole time, passively. And there's no lie there. It's just that she doesn't think he knows what's best, even if he thinks it's what's best.

And … She doesn't believe that once she starts explaining, he'll stick around for all of it. There's that too.
