SUMMARY: Never Have I Ever at The Den. Live before a studio audience.
It's been a week since the sun had gone, and the darkness is enough to begin to drive anyone mad. There was little headway to be made, and the darkness seemed cause enough for the bad blood between the humans and the goblins to boil. With tensions high, and suspicions raging, an occasional retreat was welcomed, especially in the form of food and alcohol. The Den is bustling, filled with those roaring and laughing, drinking away whatever ill feelings needed quenching, and looking for something to do while the sun remains absent. There are lanterns and candles to keep everything well lit, but causing a variety of interesting shadows to creep along the walls. Servers weave between benches and tables to go about their duties to feed and water hungry patrons.
There are two of ALASTAIR's inter-dimensional travelers sitting at the edge of an unsurprisingly empty bench toward the back of the tavern. One of them, clad in a tacky green jacket and golden horned diadem, looks cocky enough to be crossing his legs at the knee. There's a shirt hung over his neck like a victory scarf. His companion, a short haired, broad shouldered fellow, seems to have lost his shirt entirely. There's a bottle between the two of them, and shot glasses on the table filled with a clear, amber liquid.
They're loud enough to be heard.
"Never have I ever been known as Chisel Chest in any form," Loki says with a hint of a smile that tugs at the end of his lips. He leans his elbows on the table, weaves his black-tipped fingers together, and rests his chin on his folded hands. He feigns disappointment. "That makes it your drink." He holds up his shot in toast.
There's plenty of room on the bench for anyone who wants to join them.

he picks up a glass and points at Loki. ]
Your loss, bro. I've been called that and then some.
[ he tosses back his drink and slams the empty shot glass on the table. ]
Never have I ever been known as a trickster, man. A one-trick pony, sometimes, but outright trickster? Nope.
[ he grins. ]
I believe this one's for you.
no subject
as a northerner, and as an Asgardian, the bout of sudden darkness didn't bother him. he was used to this kind of thing.
Loki picks up the shot glass by the rim. you're playing in a drinking game with an Asgardian, Dean. ]
If only all internet handles came with disclaimers. [ he points from around his glass before drinking it down. ]
You could take some pointers. The cleverest ones are the tricksters, and what does that leave you with? [ he looks at him pointedly up and down. ]
no subject
so the current distraction is more than welcome, the way he sees it. no reason to hold back on either game, or booze.
he grins at Loki. ]
What kinda disclaimer though? "Beware extreme realism"? Or maybe "careful, the real thing's hotter than the handle"?
[ he leans back against the wall. ]
Are they, though? I knew one in my time. He was kind of a dick, but even he got outsmarted.
[ yes, Gabriel was a dick. he was also an ally. ]
no subject
Oh, really? Howso?
[ he's interested, even though it may seem like he's not. he makes a move to pour two more shots for them, as the game will need to continue, of course. ]
How does one trick the trickster?
[ he already knew the answer to that. ]
no subject
he keeps the grin plastered to his face. ]
No feat of mine, mister Trickster. You might have to ask the devil how he pulled it off.
Oh wait! That asshole's outta the picture these days.
...
[ but there is one question he needs to ask. for his own peace of mind, you see. ]
Tell me, actual Loki: how do you feel about ... just deserts? Or just punitive murder in general. No offense, but the question needs to be asked.

It's still easy to feel left out in all the celebration. That's why Fai gravitates toward the others in the same situation. There's someone he finds himself recognizing there at the corner - that odd man in green, who told him so many odd things. Without much hesitation, Fai makes his way over, giving a wave. ] No one's ever called me that either. But I can see where they're coming from.
[ Dean where is your shirt ...why is your naked chest right there ... ] Is this some sort of game?
no subject
He could always use the encouragement.
[ there's more than a little sass in that as his eyes slide back to Dean.
he remembers this one. they were writing down wishes at the festival. with the sun gone, time had been difficult to track, even for someone like Loki, and comparisons between 'not that long ago' and 'kinda long ago' are beginning to blur. ]
It is. You could call it a game of the boozing variety. The rules are rather simple: you name something you've never done, and if someone else has done it, they drink. If not, you drink. It ends in drinking, in any case, as is the way of most of these games.
no subject
See? Someone appreciates how close to home my handle is. On top of being, you know, pretty great.
[ he grins at the newcomer, altogether pretty pleased with himself. ]
It is. Care to join us?
no subject
No matter what his true purpose here, Ahad's going to attempt to give that table a wide berth. The shot glasses aren't encouraging, especially with Dean already missing a shirt. He will nod his head in their direction out of politeness, but trouble isn't something he needs. ]

a party pooper without food, without drink, and without company. he expected at least one of three. Ahad sticks out like a sore thumb, and Loki turns his head at the tip, watching him with bright eyes. ]
We're willing to share, you know. I'm not stingy—he may be—but I'm not.
no subject
Ahad will move closer to their table, to avoid having to shout over the crowd. Not that it makes much of a difference, in this room. ]
It would be a waste.
no subject
[ Loki nurses the shot before taking it, sucking in a breath and tipping the empty glass toward him. somehow, that doesn't surprise him. the part where it'd be a waste. ]
Otherwise it's only a waste if you don't enjoy the taste.
no subject
[ He doesn't do anything as obvious as hesitate, but he does begin to look somewhat resigned. ]
The taste is not the issue.

well, sometimes he isn't.
so when he does spot Ahad's now familiar mien, he raises a hand and calls out at him: ]
Hey! Tall, dark and smoldering— Ahad! Wanna join us for some drinks?
no subject
How could I say no to such an invitation?
[ It's sarcastic, but Dean issued such an open invitation that it's difficult to say no. ]
no subject
Dean grins and pushes a shot glass full in front of Ahad. hanging around shirtless, like nbd. ]
Think of it as a break before we all get down to business.
Gonna assume you know the rules, yeah?
no subject
The rules seem rather obvious. Unless there is a shirtless clause that I've missed?

Still, bars made for good places to observe things. And she's certainly observing something interesting right now.]
Constructively using your downtime, I see.
no subject
Do you think that they'll allow it? They do have us by the balls. [ he says hotly, tipping the shot glass at her. ]

Though I'll count it as part of the work ethic.
no subject
Oh, the benefits of having a literal internal clock.]So if I were to suggest "never have I ever goofed off on the clock," would you have to drink or not?

I dunno about constructive missy, but it sure is one way to pass the time.
Besides, no sun, enough tension in one city square that you can cut through it with a knife — yeah. A breather might be in order right about now, since who the hell knows when's the next time we'll have the opportunity to relax.
[ he makes a sweeping gesture with one arm. ]
If there's enough space for two, there's enough for three.
no subject
[Like holes in walls, if what she heard about Popola is true.]
I wonder if there would be a way to get others in here in on this too, though? Might be a nice way to relieve tensions overall.
no subject
[ he thinks about her suggestion. ]
Hey, the more, the merrier, am I right? Didn't ALASTAIR give that sorta not really cell phone? Can always send an invite to people.
[ he raises his shot glass at her. ]
Go ahead. Tell me one thing you've never done before — aside from drinking — and I'll drink it up for you.
