(She has a story concocted - just in case - but she appreciates Sieglinde not asking.)

I would love to hear them. (Even dry historical documents are interesting if they come from another world.)

Daring deeds, perhaps, but steamy affairs? (There a small glimmer of amusement in her eyes.) Do you enjoy romances? I liked tales of knights and fair maidens when I was your age.

There are many cultures and countries in my world who had wise men and women record the events of their time- I have them all here.

[She tapped her temple with a confident smirk... which turned up higher at a corner at the idea of knights and maidens, crossing her and nodding a bit to herself. That was a bit closer, yes-]

Those are all well and good, but they are quite tame, do you not think? A bit fanciful?

[Says the witch child...]

The more I know of you, my lady, the more awed I am by your intelligence and accomplishments. (Such memorization deserves praise! Sansa had her lessons with her Septa, but few of them stuck.)

You prefer something...more...impassioned? (Is that the right descriptor? She feels her face grow hot.) As a maiden, I cannot speak from experience, though I have encountered knights.

It is nighttime, after all.

[Knights and fair maidens were daytime talk, obviously. (In her mind, which, one could argue, was quite the strange one.) Perhaps it was because she was a witch, but the stories that had titillated her far more were the adulterous affairs, the tempting sorceresses, and the dangerous liaisons.

... It was also altogether possible that along with her histories she'd read some very odd books as a child. Well. Younger child than she was now, for all she considered herself quite grown.]

I can tell you of the fair Jonquil and her foolish knight. (A song and a story. Alayne sings it as well as she did in childhood; a childhood spent in a snowy castle. No, she was in the hot East. The tale must have traveled far, over sea to reach her there.)

[As talkative as she could be, Sieglinde was a good listener when something captured her attention, and she was in the mood for a story.

One that left her with a bit of a sigh, hand on cheek.]

How foolish men are, no matter the world...

(Even after all she has endured, the tale is still satisfying. She finishes the last stanza and smiles at Sieglinde's estimation of Florian the Fool.)

I imagine everyone is a fool when they are truly in love. (Sansa had been one.) Florian could not help himself.

Hmm... It may be best to avoid falling in love as long as possible, then.

[Perhaps it was easy for her to say, having never felt such a thing herself, but... Surely it was easy to avoid if one took efforts, despite how handsome and charming some men could be.]

We women must keep our heads about us when possible, or men will have the advantage.
