[closed] He said you can go sleep at home tonight
CHARACTERS: Kojuro and Masamune
DATE: After the infestation is over
WARNINGS: Probably some swearing, idk
SUMMARY: Temporal hangovers suck.
[When Kojuro wakes up as himself again, it's with a feeling not unlike that of a hangover - slightly less headache, but the same sort of slightly muddled memories. Fighting with someone who he know realizes was Motochika, Sieglinde's advances, that somewhat embarassing display of emotion in front of Chihiro....]
Gods.
[He would really like to believe that all those memories were a very long, vivid dream, but they feel too real for that. And given the strangeness of this place, and the problems the temporal bugs were causing... it's entirely possible he's spent the last week having a second go at being fifteen. Without much more success than the first time around.
He gets up and dresses, considering who he should talk to first. Masamune is the clear answer, there. Then he can deal with the rest of this mess.]

He's sitting on the couch currently, having dragged Kojuro to sit down, as well upon him showing up. He's actually... really glad the other is back to normal, so much that he really is tempted not to even let him talk about all of it right now—
—Alas, he is more a child at heart, wanting the story first the attention second, in this case. ]
Have fun running around while fifteen all over again, you wild party animal, you?
Tell me all about it!

[Kojuro lets Masamune take the lead, mostly because it's easier than trying to steer the conversation and his own thoughts at the same time, and the latter is more than enough to handle. He keeps looking over at the tea set, because having something to occupy his hands with would be a blessing. Sake would be even better, but the wiser part of him is refusing to consider that possibility.
He does raise an eyebrow at Masamune's request, though]
What, aside from you trying to mislead my younger self?

[ This is the sound of shamelessness.
But, hey, hey, Kojuro, he actually has both of those things... !! ]
Oh, you know... how many fights did you start for stupid reasons or none at all, who did you embarrass yourself in front of that also was not their right age, flirt with any girls, who did you embarrass yourself in from that was their right age, did you see Sieglinde, did you make any other animals upset besides your longcat with your change in everything, and should I have beat the crap out of you for seeing Sieglinde if you did see her?
[ Does Kojuro need any more examples? He's got plenty. ]
no subject
You did, or you would have told him the full truth. Or a better lie. [It's easier to try and think of his younger self as a different person, even if the memories are in all ways his own]
I only started one fight, and Sieglinde was responsible for any questionable advances.

[ Kind of.
Masamune looks doubtful at Kojuro then. ]
Well, I'm not going to slap a twelve-year-old for what she has yet to do. The fifteen year old that experienced the whole ordeal and is older now, however—

Masamune just smiles then, an invisible tail swishing like a cat waiting to pounce. His favorite hobby will always be this. It never gets less entertaining no matter how many times he does it.
Without another word to finish his earlier statement, the young Date lord moves to climb into the other's lap, settling each knee down on the couch cushions beside either of Kojuro's thighs, reaching to wrap his arms around the other's neck.
Yes, hello. It's him. ]
—so, hey, what should I do to you, Kojuro~? [ ♥ ]

[Kojuro was expecting a punch, so he's caught off-guard, and the surprise is evident on his face. It quickly transforms to a tired smile, though.]
I'm certain there's very little I can say to sway you from whatever you've decided.

[ Kojuro knows when there's no use—!
For all the options on this position he has, Masamune merely leans forward to hug onto his retainer, letting his head drop down to flop against the older man's shoulder. He is usually able to freely speak his feelings to the other, but the young Date lord finds it far easier to keep quite rather than muster the energy.
Regardless, for all his lack of words, it's not hard for Kojuro to figure it out at all.
I missed you, don't leave me like that again.
But, even if he were feeling up to saying it, he knows too well that's asking far too much when Kojuro has no control of it (even though he wants him to be able to).
Above all else, though:
I'm really happy you're back. ]

[Honestly, given the last few days, Kojuro is fine with just this physical closeness - something more tiring would be a bit much.
After a few moments of pleasant silence, arms wrapped loosely around Masamune's back, he finally speaks again]
I'm sorry. [sorry for being gone, he means, as if it were his fault - but it seems necessary to say, to affirm out loud that he'd never leave if he could help it]
