[Thankfully, it doesn't exactly take Sakura too long to make her way there. She runs, and uses the Jump card to get there quicker, at least. Which shows by the height she gains as she approaches and makes her way over to him, the small white wings at the ankles of her boots. But she seems cheerful enough, if a little flushed when she does come to a stop in front of him.]

Julius-san! I made it....ah, is your friend here yet?

[Hopefully they aren't lost? Sakura did kind of just instantly beeline for him without really quite checking for the expected second friend joining them yet.]

[ Reika is a little a ways off to the side, inspecting a particularly curious (and luckily harmless) tree. However she makes sure not to stray out of Julius' line of sight; and as a result when Sakura approaches she's able to see the girl and quickly return to his side.

She's... so cute!! ]

Hello!

[ Reika smiles, a natural enough instinct when meeting new people, and gives the girl a wave. She's dressed in the same uniform as Julius; making it apparent that they're from the same world. ]

Sakura, this is Reika.

I'm pleased to see you two here today. Thank you for coming.

[He's grateful for this opportunity. When Julius sees Sakura he's reminded of how much younger she used to be before. She's really grown.]

[A year or two, when one is Sakura's age, can involve a lot of growing. He's hardly the first or last to note the change once she came back from home and experienced so much back there. Still, that isn't why he asked her here. Sakura turns when she spots the movement of Reika's waving, giving a smile and wave of her own.]

Ah, Reika-san then. Hello! So you're Julius-san's friend from home? I'm glad. I mean, the missions are kind of dangerous, but -- you know. That he has a familiar face here.

[Even if she herself doesn't. She can still be glad for Julius's sake all the same.]

[ Given Sakura's name and the way she addresses the both of them, it's evident that she's also from Japan. However, for Julius' sake, she continues using English instead of their native Japanese. ]

I am. We serve in the same team back home, so we'll still work together now. [ That, and she has to take care of him, but that's hardly something to tell other people about. ] I'd like to be your friend too, if that's okay?

Of course. We need to create bonds in order to grow and survive.

[Everyone here more or less understands that. Julius folds his arms and nods in content.]

It's they say, two heads are better than one, right?

[He never used to be a team player, but now he understands how important it is.]

Oh! No wonder he said he wanted me to meet you, if he knows you that well then! [Well, Sakura hasn't been in the military exactly. She's far too young still for that. But she did have a team of her own of sorts when she was collecting the Cards. The little wings at her ankles may have disappeared but she still holds the staff in her hand all the same as she gives a nod.]

Something like that. But yes! Of course you can be my friend too.

[ Sakura's manner lives up to her appearance - she's polite and friendly, which isn't something that every child from their world would have. For that, she's grateful; the same as how she's grateful for everyone who's helped her since her arrival. ]

Thank you. [ Though, it would be unreasonable for a small child to be in something as dangerous as Audentes without any form of talent. Julius would have told her otherwise; she's sure Sakura would be an exceptional girl. If not, he might not have been so close to her. ]

What's that staff in your hand for?

You're curious about it, aren't you? When I first saw her staff I was surprised too.

[Sakura has a shocking talent for magic. He doesn't quite know how to say it so he'll allow Sakura to explain. Her staff seems a little different somehow.

It's just been a while since he last saw it.]

Hm? Oh, my staff....it's what I use with my magic, with the Clo--ah, the 'Sakura Cards'.

[It's still all pink and gold, the staff, the same as the cards she pulls out to show Reika, aside from the tiny white wings at either side of the pink circle around the star at the top of the staff.]

I usually have the staff as a necklace, but I was using one of the cards to get here a bit quicker before.

[So she still has it active, not yet having dismissed it back to the usual necklace form before greeting the two of them.]

[ She would have otherwise believed that magic didn't exist, but coming here opened a whole new host of possibilities. Sakura was gifted in a different way from them, which would be useful when they need to work together to solve a problem. The more varied the skills, the better. ]

It sounds useful. Could you show one of your cards to me?

[ It's a very cute staff, fitting for a girl her age. She looks like she could be one of the 'magical girls' that were shown on Bugarally sometimes. ]

A demonstration would be nice. What do you say? [It's her choice. There's no pressure. Julius smiles in their direction. ]

Her magic got us out of a tight situation before. I'd like to see it again myself if that's alright.

[He's seen her thunder and fly card. There are other abilities she's got that he doesn't know about. ]

A demonstration? Um, okay! Here.... [Sakura lets go of the cards, making them surround her in a circle going around her head.]

Pick one and I'll show you.

[Some are more likely obvious in what they do by name. More or less. But all the same, it shows there's a variety in cards, and in ways she can use them.]

[ Reika takes a step closer, regarding the cards with evident curiosity. So she does seem like one of the magical girl types. Not in a million years would she think she would have a chance to see a trope in action. ]

Hmm... How about The Flower?

[ She's evidently picking it with Julius in mind. Sakura is free to notice that. ]

[ He still observes the other cards by appearance. Most of them are self explanatory. "Erase" and "Maze" make him wonder though. Maybe he'll ask about it another time.]

That's a good choice. I'll stick with that one as well.

Sakura's the name of a flower too, isn't it?

[A really Japanese name for a Japanese girl. It suits her. ]

Okay then. Here we go! Flower! Make us some sakura!

[They're native to Japan, of course. But that doesn't stop Flower creating some. She hits the card with her staff, summoning the spirit of it to activate, calling her out and ordering her amid the gust of wind and the magic circle at her feet shines. The card disappears as in it's place in front of Sakura appears the girl from the Flower card, raining sakura petals around them as Sakura giggles.]

It is. My mother, she loved them so she named me after them. The cherry blossoms.

[ The moment Sakura's card activates, Reika shifts back a little - but it's merely an action out of reflex. A look of curiosity washes over her expression as she studies the spirit (?) summoned from the card, which changes to a smile when sakura petals start flying through the air. ]

Wow, that's amazing! And pretty, too.

[ An apt name for a cute girl like her, she thinks. ]

It truly does. What a sight to behold.

[Magic doesn't really exist much in his world. He's thankful to have seen it in this form. It's so beautiful, he's stunned.]

I don't use Flower as much as some of the other cards. [She explains as she then dismisses the card, holding a hand for it among the others of her collection in front of her. She pulls out a few specific ones.]

I mostly use Shield, Fly or Jump, and Windy. But I don't mind showing, it helps, when we're all supposed to work together with the missions, right?

[ From the names, they seem like cards that let her perform an action rather than taking the shape of a spirit like Flower. ]

Yeah. Plus, we don't just have to fight. Cards like Flower can cheer people up, too.

[ She's had to take care of her friends' physical as well as mental health, so she knows how important a person's mood is. ]

We're going out there to help people. Not every problem has to be solved by fighting. I hope the worlds we have to save can be happy, too.

We're here to help others, but we must also care for ourselves. I know our missions weren't meant to be easy. [It never is easy is it? Sakura and Reika have been through their share of hardships. From here it'll only continue which is why he's saying this.]

If we work together than we should be able to overcome it. I'm counting on both of you.

Yes. Morale is important too, and I don't always end up fighting, using the cards offensively. More often I'm helping heal, or defend, or supporting others, really. But I'll do my best!

[Sakura says, nodding in agreement. Julius saying they needed to look after themselves too isn't new, it's something Ban and Graham have been trying to drill her on in her reckless, stubborn selflessness in pushing herself to help everyone else with the missions.]

[ A child like her should never be allowed to put her life on the line, especially when they're considering the frontlines for battle. A support role sounds much, much more reasonable. ]

I'm sure you're already doing your best.

[ Again, if she wasn't, then Reika doubts Julius would have taken note of her. ]

Right... [ It's a slightly awkward meeting given how she's just lining up questions to ask and take note of: ] Do you get tired if you use too many cards at once?

[ She has to take note of the girl's limitations so they can be covered. ]

Good question. I don't know the answer to that myself.

Surely you haven't been exerting yourself by using magic like this, have you?

[He gives Sakura a curious stare. Julius would feel horrible if she's been overdoing it this entire time. ]

Tired? Ah, not as much as I used to. I got exhausted when I first changed the cards from working from Clow-san's magic to my own. I don't get as tired now though, unless I use them a lot.

[Which well, can be the case on missions, but still not enough to knock her out for a day like when she was first changing the cards at least. To work as Sakura cards under her own magic power.

Graham and Ban at the least could probably attest to her pushing herself still though.]
