I did not used to have it very often, but I find myself needing the energy here.

[ he flashes her a sly smile, like he's some kind of badass for what he's about to say. ]

Hell yeah, I do.

[ This is not badass at all Vaughn... it is the opposite of badass. It is cute??? ]

Gotcha! I shall have this ready en un momento! [ What Spanglish this is. ] There you go.

[ She's careful when she hands his mug over, finishing her own after and taking a sip. ]

Were you looking for something to eat before?

[ hey, it was worth a shot. he takes the mug with a nod of thanks and tries a sip. ]

—Hey, this is really good! I can totally tell you've been practicing.

[ he takes another sip, and then swallows hastily as she mentions food. ]

...Oh, yeah. I guess I forgot. Hmm, what goes well with hot chocolate?

A-ah! Thank you very much! I have been drinking more of it than I should because of the cold, though I do try to mix it up with tea and coffee as well.

[ Or she'll put on 39534895 lbs tbh. ]

Hmm... perhaps a pastry? It is the French way, I believe.

[moneyman]

No problem!

[ he probably doesn't need caffeine, but that's just too bad. ]

Hmm, pastries, huh? [ he glances around the kitchen, eventually making a beeline for a giant breadbox. after only a couple of seconds of peeking, he pulls out a donut, looking pretty pleased with himself. ] Are donuts French? I mean, I'm gonna eat this regardless, but just for reference.

[ She nods in confirmation, watching as he goes over to the breadbox to find something. ]

They are actually Dutch. Though it may be similar to having the Spanish churros if you are having it with hot chocolate. Though the Spanish hot chocolate is more like molten chocolate, than instant powder mix. Hmm...

[ She's too well read for this I am sorry... ]

[ Dutch, French, it all means about the same thing to him: jack shit. but that's okay, because the important thing is that he knows what a donut is, and he knows that they are delicious. he looks at her curiously even as he takes a bite. ]

Molten chocolate, huh? Sounds pretty intense. [ he'd try it. ] What's a churro?

[assent]

[ She puts her mug on the side, her hands raising up to press against her face. ]

It is truly very delicious! I had the kitchens at the castle make it for me, churros are similar to doughnuts in that they are deep fried dough, but they are less sweet. You dip them into the chocolate.

[moneyman]

Oh, my god. That sounds amazing.

[ how does he even manage to stay in the shape he's in? it's a mystery. ]

...Wait, do you live in a castle at home, too?

[assent]

[ I'd say how does she, but no she does exercise... at least... ]

Yes, of course. It would be strange for a Princess to live anywhere else, would it not?

[ She... forgets that people don't know she is one w/e ]

[ he's about to take another bite of his donut, but instead he just stops abruptly and looks at her, wide-eyed. it's not really a surprise, but... ]

—Whoa, you're a princess?

[assent]

[ She blinks... then her smile shifts into something a lot more sheepish. ]

I suppose I do forget who I have told by now... yes, that is correct.

[moneyman]

[ he suddenly feels like he's been... speaking and acting somewhat inappropriately. she's a princess, for god's sake. he clears his throat, momentarily ignoring his donut. ]

Uh... wow. Never met a princess before. That's... kinda awesome. You have a kingdom and everything?

[assent]

[ She blinks in return, and for a second it's almost like she's frozen with that blank expression on her face... then it shifts into something a lot more modest. ]

Well, we are all equal here. At least, that is what I would prefer. It would be more accurate to say my parents have the Kingdom rather than I, but I am next in line, yes.

[moneyman]

Right, of course, but... I dunno, that's still pretty cool. I mean, you'll be a queen someday! I'm sure you'll be great at it.

[ they met like five seconds ago, but it's fine. he can totally tell. ]

[ five seconds and he's already sure... it's just a shame he's Wrong. ]

A-ah... in that case, thank you very much. I hope I live up to the impression you have of me.

Eh, you will! Not even worried about it.

[ he's so full of casual certainty that he just goes back to eating his donut. how could he possibly be wrong?? ]

T-truly... [ She doesn't know what else to say, so she just... sips her hot chocolate, hands curving around the cup. ]

So other than raiding the kitchen, what are your plans for this afternoon?

[moneyman]

Hmm... [ he hadn't thought that far ahead. it's been a bit of a weird day. ] No idea, honestly. Maybe napping? I kinda feel like I haven't slept in days. Orrr maybe it's just a food coma coming on, I dunno. [ it's probably both. ] What about you?

[assent]

But... you have not eaten all that much... Are you sure you do not want more than that? [ If he's had a tiring time at home though, the nap might be a good idea. ]

I plan on studying for a while, then I shall go to my regularly scheduled training this afternoon.

[moneyman]

Ehh... [ he waves a hand, a little sheepish. ] I ate some stuff before you got here. [ spoilers: it was a lot of stuff. ]

Training, huh? Like with your gun?

Ah! I see... [ She wasn't sure, but... that's fair. Though she shakes her head at that. ]

If I am honest, I have been trained to fire a gun for a long enough time that it comes naturally. However, I am learning how to use a knife more effectively.
