WELCOME TO LERAMZEN After nearly three weeks of "relaxation" in Oska, Audentes is given 48 hours to prepare for their next mission. Right on time, they are rifted to a different dimension, landing them in the futuristic city of Leramzen. Instead of appearing in a large group, recruits are spread throughout the city center so as not to draw attention to themselves, arriving in isolated areas: behind buildings hidden from the street, in public restrooms, stepping into the street from behind parked cars. The key is to blend in, though the metropolitan nature of Leramzen allows for some wiggle room; the locals see enough country bumpkins from all over the galaxy that they're willing to overlook a faux pas here or there from an obvious tourist. Recruits have two weeks before the day of the museum heist. During this time, they should contact their mission analyst, George, but the rest is up to them -- a perfect time to explore the luxuries that Leramzen has to offer. CITY LIFE Leramzen is a highly cultured city, with many museums and theatres, including its prized Lyushny Theatre which homes the galaxy famous Lyushny Ballet. While the natives of this planet are human, recruits will see a wide variety of other life forms in Leramzen, some humanoid and some most definitely not. Try not to stare! The generous stipend will more than allow recruits to take in the sights and treat themselves to a luxury meal or two, but of particular interest should be the clothing and jewelry stores found in the city center. There are shops that cater to any style and taste, including a few bespoke tailors that have a convenient turnaround time of two weeks. In addition to shopping and cultural pursuits, there is an ice rink in the city center, maintained for the long winter season, and horse-drawn carriages that will take passengers on a ride through Leramzen's historic Old Town. This is also a good chance to observe the State History Museum to get a lay of the land before the mission begins. But remember -- don't draw attention to yourselves, so going in all together might not be a good idea. Settle in and take in some sights, and get ready -- because when the mission begins, you never know what you'll be in for. OOC NOTES Welcome to the new mission! [ Reika isn't going to let go until the man is duly escorted away by five-armed security. The clerk goes back to their counter, sweating profusely. ]

I hope he gets sent to jail.

[ She sighs, folding her arms. What a horrible person, spoiling the mood of a nice shopping trip. ]

Thanks. I just can't stand assholes, you know?

[Jail. What an odd thought. He knows they existed at one point, before the Sybil System, but they were long before his time. To Kagari, isolation facilities have always been all there was, and despite the MWPSB's existence, their general purpose has always been for prevention, not punishment. For a moment, he pictures the weight of the Dominator in his hand, allows himself some idle speculation on what that man's Crime Coefficient would've been. 120? 150? Or maybe lower, maybe just straddling the boundary--99, 101...surely not Lethal Eliminator range, in any event. Probably.

Then Reika turns back, and Kagari returns to the present. Out of Japan and back to Leramzen. And he winks.]

I don't know about that. You put up with me pretty well~

[ Is there jail in Leramzen? Probably, somewhere. Reika sure hopes there does exist at least some form of criminal punishment in this place. ]

[ Since they're already sort of friends, she figures she can at least joke around a bit. ]

[ She has to pause at the mention of team disagreement. The whole argument after Woodhurst still feels like a sore point. ]

People here will disagree over anything.

[It's not faked, honestly, so much as it is Situational. Kagari's one of those types of people whose demeanor is markedly different depending on his emotions, and Reika's good at not pushing his buttons.]

[ People are just here to have a good time, really. And she has a feeling that part of Kagari's vitriol is entirely justified, so she's never said anything. ]

Of course not. I believe in your judgment.

[ Her only relative source of 'what's pretty and what's not' are either her boyfriend (extremely dysfunctional aesthetic) or her old colleagues (one of which who went on a holy quest for what makes a woman most attractive), so it's not all that clear immediately. ]

[Well. That wins a sudden, uncomfortable look on his face for about two seconds. He swallows the you shouldn't that rises up in his throat, forcing an exaggeratedly smug sort of scoff that tries for Yeah You Bet You Do but falls slightly short of the mark.]

Speaking of judgment, you never helped me pick out a suit.

[He puts his hands on his hips, feigning Grave Offense at this lapse. Let's aggressively change the subject, shall we.]

[ Reika isn't oblivious, but she's also not an asshole, so she'll play along. ]

Oh, right! I'll do that right now.

[ She'll turn her attention over to the rack they were perusing and assume a slightly exaggerated thinking pose. Kagari definitely wouldn't want anything too stiff. Maybe something fun and breezy? There's a lot to see... ]

[ A bright ensemble (minus the sword and armour of course), with a belt strap that allows one to carry items in a small bag while keeping the hands free. Cool gloves, too! ]

The suit she ends up pointing out is perfect for him, honestly--the ones he had been waffling over before are right out the window, here, and it's obvious he's pleased with her choice. He's found himself some new dye to retouch his hair, by now, and the deep red and gold complements his chosen burnt orange rather nicely.]

[Folding it over his arm, he starts to head over to the counter, where the same harried clerk is valiantly continuing his shift. He even looks happy enough to see them that he's willing to offer Reika a discount...!]

Hm... I've got a couple of dresses already, so maybe some accessories?

[ Reika isn't one to wear lavish jewelry, but there's some cute stuff around that she can see herself wearing. ]

[He points to a rack with some cute clips studded with tiny little stones in the shapes of animals. There are rabbits, puppies, kittens....if you can find it in a petting zoo, it's probably on that rack.]

Maybe a necklace, too. Oh, and did you get shoes yet?

[He remembers all the times he heard Karanomori sulk about how her heels were utterly wasted cooped up in the CID all day. Shoes were Very Important, he'd learned.]
