[PLAYER PLOT] MAYISSION IMPOSSIBLE: THE ROOMBA INFEYLTRATION
CHARACTERS: EVERYONE who wants to be involved in the player plot
DATE: Between April 30th and mid-May
SUMMARY: Urahara calls some lucky members of Guild Ophelia to action so they can infiltrate various political buildings around the city and bug their cleaning robots. Isn't this how SKYNET starts?
THE HIDEOUT
The chips are made available through Rost’s hideout- as usual, the rules about not everyone coming in at once apply, so it’s best to send one member of any group of infiltrators to collect the goods before heading out. Anyone involved with the process of making the chips may be in and out to answer questions about the mission, and to offer suggestions about what places groups should hit first.
As the data begins to come in, some volunteers will need to stay to listen in on conversations to see if there’s anything useful so it can be pounced on immediately, which can get inane and dull, as not every deli order or memo dictation is worth making a fuss about. You might be here awhile, so get comfortable. At least you’re probably not alone, though be careful not to get too distracted.
DRAKSTADEN DEMOCRATIC COMPLEX
As one of the most important (and largest) locations necessary to be hit, several groups will have to go in on separate occasions to make sure a wide enough area is covered, under the cover of darkness or well-thought out disguise. The Vakdir presence is high here, even if you take advantage of the patrol schedules that Kylo Ren and Rey found out, so be on guard.
Especially since the guard dogs- both robotic and real- don’t adhere to any set schedules.
Even getting past the guards doesn’t guarantee success, keen eyes and sharp minds will be required to deal with electronic security, ranging from normal alarms that can be disarmed with a keypad to more complicated measures that may involve bypassing lasers, because what’s a heist without having to limbo around a few lasers?
As exciting as it is to explore and take advantage of this opportunity, however, there’s work to be done, and since the aim is to break into what is essentially a few maintenance closets at various points in the complex, you won’t have to worry about too many extra alarms once you get that far. Just don’t push your luck.
THE PRIME MINISTER'S HOME
Near the DDC stands the Prime Minister’s magnificent penthouse, another prime target for espionage, and also, due to the current sociopolitical climate, heaviliy guarded. You can expect to find the usual high Vakdir presence, on top of more guard dogs outside.
All you’ll have to do once inside is find the place the building keeps its Roombas and Tidy-Bots, place the chips on the underside, and get out quickly. The apartment, itself, is isolated, but the farther you go up, the higher security gets and the harder it’ll be to keep your presence a secret, so it’s safer if you stick to the lower floors, and don’t try to press onwards blindly.
