[PLAYER PLOT] MAYISSION IMPOSSIBLE: THE ROOMBA INFEYLTRATION
CHARACTERS: EVERYONE who wants to be involved in the player plot
DATE: Between April 30th and mid-May
SUMMARY: Urahara calls some lucky members of Guild Ophelia to action so they can infiltrate various political buildings around the city and bug their cleaning robots. Isn't this how SKYNET starts?
THE HIDEOUT
The chips are made available through Rost’s hideout- as usual, the rules about not everyone coming in at once apply, so it’s best to send one member of any group of infiltrators to collect the goods before heading out. Anyone involved with the process of making the chips may be in and out to answer questions about the mission, and to offer suggestions about what places groups should hit first.
As the data begins to come in, some volunteers will need to stay to listen in on conversations to see if there’s anything useful so it can be pounced on immediately, which can get inane and dull, as not every deli order or memo dictation is worth making a fuss about. You might be here awhile, so get comfortable. At least you’re probably not alone, though be careful not to get too distracted.
DRAKSTADEN DEMOCRATIC COMPLEX
As one of the most important (and largest) locations necessary to be hit, several groups will have to go in on separate occasions to make sure a wide enough area is covered, under the cover of darkness or well-thought out disguise. The Vakdir presence is high here, even if you take advantage of the patrol schedules that Kylo Ren and Rey found out, so be on guard.
Especially since the guard dogs- both robotic and real- don’t adhere to any set schedules.
Even getting past the guards doesn’t guarantee success, keen eyes and sharp minds will be required to deal with electronic security, ranging from normal alarms that can be disarmed with a keypad to more complicated measures that may involve bypassing lasers, because what’s a heist without having to limbo around a few lasers?
As exciting as it is to explore and take advantage of this opportunity, however, there’s work to be done, and since the aim is to break into what is essentially a few maintenance closets at various points in the complex, you won’t have to worry about too many extra alarms once you get that far. Just don’t push your luck.
THE PRIME MINISTER'S HOME
Near the DDC stands the Prime Minister’s magnificent penthouse, another prime target for espionage, and also, due to the current sociopolitical climate, heaviliy guarded. You can expect to find the usual high Vakdir presence, on top of more guard dogs outside.
All you’ll have to do once inside is find the place the building keeps its Roombas and Tidy-Bots, place the chips on the underside, and get out quickly. The apartment, itself, is isolated, but the farther you go up, the higher security gets and the harder it’ll be to keep your presence a secret, so it’s safer if you stick to the lower floors, and don’t try to press onwards blindly.

The Misadventures of Jason & Scott: Go Big or Go Home
He was careful not to voice this, however, as he did not want to completely jinx them before they'd even started either. He'd brought with him a few tools, the chip, and the special flashlight from the elevator exercise. He wanted to be as prepared as possible, even if he didn't have a magical tool belt like a certain friend of his back home. He scanned the outside of the building once more, before they could even get in though they'd have to scale a short perimeter wall.]
There should be a gap in the patrol coming up soon...but we'll have to move fast if we want avoid being seen. The problem is I'm not sure if there are any dogs on the other side.

I can't believe they actually have dogs in this city. [ It seems cruel. Unkind, what with the conditions, the lack of space and open air. ] Don't suppose you know how to talk to animals or put minds to sleep?
[ It's worth asking. ]
no subject
Not one of my skills, no. I'm pretty good with dogs...but these have probably been trained to, well, not necessarily be easily bribed or talked down.
[Not that he had any dog bones anyway. He frowns, thoughtful, they're running up against their window of opportunity.]
We might just have to risk it. If we miss this window in the patrol it's another hour or so of waiting according to the information we got from Rey and Kylo Ren. [He looks uncomfortable and then admits.] Worst case scenario...I can spook the dogs away with a little electric shock. It shouldn't attract much attention and should be enough to get them to fall back.

How little is little?
no subject
By accident I've shocked people in the past -- like the shock you might get if you accidentally plugged in appliances the wrong way. So, non-lethal and enough to make you jump back.
no subject
How accurate can you be? Could you shock a specific part of the brain? Put them to sleep?
[ Otherwise, they might just rile the dogs even more. Maybe they should just avoid dogs entirely. Because Scott sure can't handle them without making a scene. ]
no subject
Never tried it and I don't think it's that precise. Short-circuiting a lamp is a lot easier than pinpointing an exact section of the brain.
[Not to mention his father wasn't exactly known for subtly. Maybe if his dad was the god of brain surgery or something it would be different. But he's not and the children of the big three can only hold back so much.]
We don't have much time left.
